Data Deletion

Last updated: October 21, 2026

You can delete your content and connected accounts directly in Micassa, or ask us to delete your account and associated data. This page explains both options, including data we receive from Meta when you connect a Threads account.

1. Delete content in the app

  • Posts and drafts: open the calendar, select a post, and choose Delete. This removes the post and its delivery records.
  • Connected channels: open Channels and choose Disconnect next to a channel. This deletes the stored access token and account identifiers for that channel.
  • Workspace members: owners and admins can remove members from Settings. Pending invitations can be revoked there too.

2. Delete your account or workspace

Account and workspace deletion is handled by our team so that we can verify the request and remove every related record. To request deletion:

  • Email privacy@micassa.online from the email address associated with your Micassa account.
  • Use the subject “Data deletion request” and tell us which workspace names should be deleted.
  • If you cannot access that mailbox, explain the situation and we will work with you to verify ownership another way.

We acknowledge requests within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law. We will confirm by email when the deletion is complete.

3. Data received from Meta / Threads

If you connected a Threads account, Micassa stores your Threads profile ID, username, avatar URL, and an OAuth access token, together with the posts you created for that channel. To delete this data:

  • Disconnect Threads in Micassa under Channels, which deletes the stored token and identifiers immediately.
  • You can also remove Micassa’s access in your Threads or Meta account settings (Apps and websites). Revoking access there stops future API calls but does not delete data already stored by Micassa, so please also disconnect in Micassa or email us.
  • To delete all data associated with your Micassa account, follow the email process in section 2.

4. What we delete

  • Your account record, name, email address, and password hash.
  • Workspace memberships, invitations, and role assignments.
  • Posts, drafts, media links, delivery records, and error logs tied to your content.
  • Connected channel records, access tokens, and external account identifiers.
  • Active sessions.

5. What we may retain

We may retain a limited set of records where we are legally required or need them to resolve disputes and prevent abuse, such as security logs, fraud-prevention records, and financial records if paid plans are used. Aggregated metrics that cannot identify you may be kept. Retained records are deleted when the applicable retention period ends.
